MY KGSP APPLICATION PROCESS

Just like every other scholarship i searched online for the kgsp scholarship at study in Korea website. the application for the scholarship usually opens 1st of September each year and i applied for the 2017 kgsp. i used the university track as i applied to kyungsung university in Busan (one of the leading universities in Busan). kyungsung accepts documents via email so i sent my documents to the person in charge of the kgsp at kyungsung university. my interview was scheduled for October 10th so i patiently waited for that. the day finally came and i received an email from the office. attached to the email was a PDF file which i downloaded and read about my rejection kyungsung      and to no avail my dreams almost came crashing down. before the kgsp i spent hours all day long getting to know Korea as a country and also how kgsp scholars lived their lives in Korea.  I did not allow myself to get bothered by the rejection letter kyungsung university sent to me so i re-applied again for the scholarship to another university (yes you can re-apply again for the kgsp if you get rejected by a university via the university track). i contacted all the universities ( Ulsan national University Gyoungsan university and Wonkwang university) that had a later deadline for the application. so i finally selected Wonkwang university i sent my documents via post to their address and my interview was scheduled for November 7th 2016. the day finally came and i got a call from the university (always be with your phone at all times) i was asked to introduce myself and how the Samsung note 7 recall affects my view on coming to Korea, i was also asked about what i knew about Korea (kindly research about Korea before our interview) so the interview ended in good terms and i was waiting for the 2nd list to posted by NIIED (sponsors of the KGSP).  The 2nd list came out November 12th 2016 and luckily for me my name was among the list thanks to the good graces of Wonkwang university.     hi thank you for contacting us. we can't dictate for you as we are not affiliated with NIIED however it depends on your major and your country quota if your major is under science and tech then the uni track is the best way for you.

    thank you for contacting us. you can get the application form at this link https://www.studyinkorea.go.kr/ko/main.do and also about the interview if you apply via the embassy track you will get your interview done at the embassy and if you apply via the university track you will get you interview done by the university in form of a call or skype call. thanks

    you can apply via the university track by sending your documents to the university you want to apply to via post. kindly get in touch with the university by email first before you send your documents thanks.

    Hi! I would like to ask if I can apply for the scholarship through university track to universities all at the same time? Like if I want to apply to two universities, can I do it at the same time? Or do I have to apply to a university first and when I get rejected, I'll reapply to the second one.

      you have to apply to a university first and get rejected and then apply again to another university

    hi! when you apply for schoolarship on kyungsung university you send documents via e-mail, then what about your recommendation isn't that it must be sealed on an envelope?

      i was signed but then they will ask you to send the documents via post after being selected then you have to seal it and send it
